“ There are obviously TONS of pizza joints in NY especially Times Square, but this is the only place that always has a massive line of about 30 minutes, so I knew there had to be something to it! My favorite is the SUPREME but you can't go wrong with any as it's all about the crust which is A+! TIP: Some staff are nice, but some are overly pushy which could have you stuck with an inferior slice & skimpy toppings! Take charge & point to the exact slice you want, don't let them rush & choose for you! ”

“ Had to have my first slice of New York pizza at a classic place, and I figured that I had to start off here. Quite a line and wait for this place, but that was fine with me. The employees have the system down so that the assembly line goes pretty fast; I'd say most of the wait comes from people hesitating about what they want. There's inside seating but good luck grabbing a table or a counter because it is packed. I got a slice of cheese pizza, though there were many varieties of toppings and kinds of pizza to choose from. My slice was so crispy and satisfying! One slice was enough for me since they were huge. Hot pizza in that cold weather really hit the spot. Despite the 25 minute wait in the cold and the nearly $5 price point, there's a line out the door of this tourist spot for a reason. Not sure I would wait in that line again just for this pizza since there are other locations and cheaper options out there, but if it was someone's first time in New York, I would say they should try out this place for the sake of visiting a classic spot and that it holds up in quality. ”

“ Legendary spot for a classic NYC slice. An essential bite that is very conveniently located, but not quite as good as the original Carmine location. This location accepts credit cards and is bigger though. Service is quick and efficient, and the line moves moderately. Took about 15-20 min to get through the line around lunchtime on a weekday. Seating is very limited and standing room only. Vibe feels very authentic with the crowded small space and countless pictures of celebrity visit to Joe's on the walls. Food: The big highlight is the cheese pizza, though the white pizza with spinach and fresh garlic is also good. Very thin crust, but still holds up when folded. Tomato sauce is robust and simple but addicting Cheese hits the spot. It's nothing crazy complex here but simple, delicious, and comforting - you have to give it a try or another classic NY pizza slice while here. I would have to say that the Carmine location is better though as the pizza comes out fresher and hotter. If you have a choice, choose the Carmine location! This place is let's eat Houston approved! ”

“ This was on my New York City food bucket list. I had walked by once before, and the line was too long to stand in on a cold winter evening, but when I return the following week, the line was out the door, but it moved quickly. It took 30 minutes from when I got in line to when I got my pizza.I love pizza and Joe's was very good. I got a slice of cheese and a bottle of soda for less than $10. I thoroughly enjoyed my slice. I will return to Joe's and I recommend it to anyone visiting NYC. ”

“ We came around 6pm to grab a few slices to go and the line was down 1/2 block. There are a few tables inside & outside of pizzeria for standing only. The place is filled with pictures of famous people who visited the pizzeria. The line went fast. Came to the counter, saw the pizza choices, ordered slices, paid and we were on our way out. The wait will be longer if you are ordering special slices or whole pies. Brought them home, warmed up in the over for a few minutes then ate. Very good! Recommend it for price and a good slice! ”

“ Came to Joes because of the online hype. But we loved it! It was the boyfriend's first time in NYC and I feel like it gave him a really authentic experience with the tiny storefront, covered in celeb pics, people talking and yelling and slinging pizzas, waiting in line etc. The line wasn't long and did move fairly quick- we each grabbed a slice one of cheese and one of pepperoni. They warm them up for you right there in the oven too which is nice. Prices are reasonable, the slices big, good crust. A solid bet for a slice and I would absolutely return to try more! ”

“ Don't be intimidated by the long line. Lines mean what you get at the end is worth it. People wouldn't be lining up for mediocre anything. Conveniently located in the middle of Times Square, it doesn't matter what time you're dropping in - there will be a line. I think we waited about 20 mins which honestly wasn't that bad. The service is efficient so the line moves pretty quick. Me and my friend got 2 slices each. We both got the pepperoni. My second slice was the caprese and my friend got the mozzarella. We ate outside as there was no available spot inside. Maaaaaaan, let me tell you something- we scarfed those slices so fast. People that walked by gave us a quick glance cos we were having the time of our lives. I don't know what it is, but every bite was heavenly. Their ingredients are fairly minimal. There is a bit of oil that drizzles to the plate, but I wasn't bothered at all. You don't need to go to Brooklyn for a proper slice. Joe's got you covered. Big thanks to the guy who fulfilled our ordered for giving us a free slice of pepperoni. Not sure why we deserve it, but he believed we did. I, thank you. ”

“ Food - Eating pizza in New York comes with an added layer of expectations, and I think Joe's Pizza meets these expectations. The crust feels familiar to a person who's had their fair share of pizza, yet it feels different. That firm on the outside and soft on the inside crust is one of the better ones around for sure. The filling blend of mushrooms, onions, and sausage is tried and tested, but it didn't really stand out compared to other pizzerias. Overall, it's a decent slice of pizza priced on the higher end, but it's definitely light lunch or heavy snack material. Service - They take your order at the counter and give you the pizza after you pay. They'll also offer to heat it up for you. It's a pretty straightforward transaction. Ambiance - It's a pretty small shop, so the place feels densely packed for the most part. What I like about it is that the store never felt chaotic. Everybody knows who's next in line, and there is a natural flow of how people order, pay, and eat/leave. ”
